During the summer of 2008, Randall and Kathy Hansen became intrigued with the idea of buying land in Washington State and becoming bicoastal – living in Florida in the winter and Washington in the summer. Lining up a number of properties to look at, they planned their second cross-country RV trip. While 2007’s trip had been a southern route primarily on I-10 and Route 66, the 2008 journey was a northern sojourn. One of their primary goals, as always, was to bicycle in as many new states as possible.
